The Jaimes Law Firm strongly believes in giving back to the community and the importance of making an effort to help those who are less fortunate as well as those who dedicate their lives to ensuring our safety and freedom. Our team periodically volunteers at various events that offer free legal advice. Most recently, our firm participated in Wills for Heroes, preparing Wills for veterans, policemen, and firemen. Our firm occasionally accepts pro bono cases from the Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC). LANC is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income individuals. Prior to obtaining a Juris Doctorate from the North Carolina Central University School of Law, Ruth Jaimes worked as a legal assistant for LANC Farmworker Unit, serving farm workers and their families in Raleigh, NC. More recently, Ruth Jaimes volunteered at the Self-Serve Center in Mecklenburg County, assisting low-income individuals with family law matters including divorce, child support, and custody.
